James H Pappas
Registered Architect, Pennsylvania
Jim began his career in architecture with the firm of Tasso Katselas, with a one year detour as a design instructor at the Penn State University school of architecture.
He opened his first architectural firm in 1972 and designed many commercial, residential and institutional buildings until 1982 when Tasso Katselas asked him to re-join his firm to to head up the design of the Pittsburgh International Airport where he worked as the chief architect until it's completion in 1992.
During his tenure at the Katselas Office, he designed many large projects in addition to the airport until going back to personal practice in 2006. During his career, Jim has developed many related skills including painting, sculpture stained glass design and furniture design for the purpose of enhancing and complimenting his architecture.
His work flows seamlessly between these related arts and they are always incorporated in his architectural designs.
Michael Pappas
Registered Architect, Pennsylvania
Michael came to the profession of architecture after an initial career in the performing arts as a professional dancer and teacher.
He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Architecture.
He has worked in many of the Pittsburgh architectural firms as a project manager and a project architect before joining the firm in 2011.
He has Leeds certification and expertise in automated drafting technology. He has worked extensively in the Revit computer modelling system as well as attaining an instructor's status in 3 dimensional drafting and design.
His addition to the firm brings a cutting edge expertise in the latest design technologies.
