Patio Home Concept

The patio home concept addresses the downsizing phenomena in today's demography.
This proposal recognizes a need for flexibility in the plan that can adapt to temporary visitations from friends and family, meaning spaces used for one function, are temporarily transformational.

The plan - is organized using 3 multipurpose spaces and a more stable MASTER SUITE.

Multipurpose space No. 1
Uses a great room concept featuring an open bar/counter dining, living, and open office space. A second office area can support the kitchen area

Multipurpose Space No. 2
Is structured as an office/workout space that can be transformed into a sleeping space for 2.

Multipurpose Space No. 3
This space is more utilitarian in its positioning. If it is not used as a 3rd garage or a permanent storage space by the owner. It can easily function as a more permanent office space for a part-time or full-time occupation that may require interface with clients, separate from the homes everyday activities.

The Master Suite
Is a more permenant sleeping area for the owners. It features sleeping for 2. With 2 separate dressing areas and separate bathroom entrances. There are separate lavs and bathing spaces, featuring a jacuzzi bath and a shower space.

The internal spaces open up into outside patio spaces. There are also unexpected sunlight sources from the upper parts of the open cathedral ceilings to enhance the sense of changing sun directions during the day.
